Chronic wasting disease statement:

A deer in Cumberland County has tested positive for Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD);  therefore, Cumberland County has been designated as a primary CWD county and all adjacent counties (Sampson, Bladen, Robeson, Hoke, Moore, and Harnett) have been designated as secondary CWD counties.

NC Wildlife Officials have declared that no deer from primary or secondary counties may be transported outside of that county.

As a result, Big Buck Round-Up participants may not enter any deer harvested from any primary or secondary county,  which is subject to change based on the the spread of CWD.
