2026 Chronic wasting disease update:

The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission has lifted the ban for all primary and secondary CWD counties so that deer can be transported across county lines, therefore participants may now enter deer legally harvested in the CWD primary and secondary counties.

Deer harvested outside of Duplin County must be removed from the Event Center premises and disposed of in accordance with the following NCWRC regulations:

• In a lined landfill
• Buried 3 feet below ground and 300 feet away from a water body, or
• lawfully left on the ground within the county of origin

As a result of these guidelines, the Potter's Wheel Ministries will ONLY accept donations of deer harvested in Duplin County.
